Nine Deacons Set to Be Ordained Priests

The Anglican Diocese of Tema joyfully announces its upcoming Ordination Service, a holy occasion in the life of the Church where faithful deacons are set apart for the priestly ministry of Word and Sacrament.

The service will take place on Saturday, 18th October 2025 at 8:30 a.m. at the Cathedral Church of SS. Alban and Matthew, Tema. This solemn yet joyous celebration will bring together clergy, parishioners, family, and friends from across the Diocese, as prayers are offered for the empowering of the Holy Spirit upon the candidates.

The following deacons will be ordained to the Holy Order of Priests:

  1. Rev’d Dr. Emmanuel N. A. Odonkor – St. Dominic Anglican Church, Klagon
  2. Rev’d Christian Senyo Tsiagbey – Holy Paraclete, Sakumono
  3. Rev’d Sethson Phynal Teiko – St. Alban Anglican Church, Tema Community 1
  4. Rev’d Godwin Tetteh Ankamah – Bishop Daniel Torto Anglican Church, Sege
  5. Rev’d Abraham Yhorhm-Dyrus – St. Cyprian Anglican Church, Bankuman
  6. Rev’d Emmanuel Nii Adu Quaye – Holy Trinity Anglican Church, New Ningo
  7. Rev’d Falade Ibukun Oluwaseun – St. Monica Anglican Church, Baatsonaa
  8. Rev’d Nii Omanye Boni-Lamptey – SS. Alban & Matthew Cathedral, Tema
  9. Rev’d Eric Oppong Adjei – Archbishop Akrofi Anglican Church, Afienya

The Diocese calls upon the faithful to uphold these deacons in prayer as they prepare to enter this new chapter of ministry. May their priesthood be marked by faithfulness, humility, and a passion for the Gospel of Christ.
